I was having a discussion with a potential client this week. She told me she really wanted to start my program, but she “just had to wait until the summer was over”.

I braced myself for impact.

“There are just so many fun activities coming up” she said, “and I have some travel plans”.

I knew what was about to come next.

“I just need to wait until the time is right to start!”

There it was. The thought process a large majority of us fall victim to. It is part of what I would call diet mentality.

Spoiler alert: there is never a “right time” to start.

When we eliminate the summer, the holidays (Halloween through New Year’s), our birthdays, our family and friend’s birthdays, and our vacations and other travel, there really isn’t much of the calendar left!

January 1st through February 13th is considered “diet season”. Diet season – think about how crazy that is and sounds. There is no diet season! This is your life – full of activities, travel and celebrations.

The path to permanent weight loss includes a plan for eating that is accomplished wherever you are, whatever you are doing at that moment.

Let’s develop an eating plan that fits perfectly in your life, and every single season of it.
